Stadel Art Institute and Gallery – art museum in the German city of Frankfurt am Main, which houses one of the most significant collections of art. It houses about 2700 paintings, 600 sculptures and about 100   000 graphic works.

The institute-museum is named in honor of its founder – Johann Friedrich Stadel, banker and merchant.

A new building in the style of Grunder was built on the Museum Embankment in 1878. It is here that the Shtedel Museum is located. During the Second World War, the building was significantly damaged in 1966 and rebuilt. The new project was created by Johannes Kran, an architect from Frankfurt. In 1990, the premises of the institute were expanded – in a building designed by Gustav Peichl on Holbeinstrasse, where art funds are located and specialized exhibitions are held. At the end of the 20th century, minor repairs and renovations were carried out.

Shtedelevsky Art Institute and Gallery – one of the most important art galleries in Frankfurt. The collection includes samples of almost all art schools in Europe.

The first floor of the museum houses the works of the classics of impressionism Monet and Renoir, German painters of the 18th and 19th centuries. Of greatest interest are the following works: `` Nude with a hat '' Ernst Kirchner, Goethe in Campania Tishbein. On the second floor – an impressive collection of examples of Flemish primitivism, Danish painting of the 16th century, works of German masters of the 16th century, in particular, Grunwald, Durer, Memling. Here is also the `` Madonna and Child '' Jan van Eyck.
