Rating: 9,1/10 (1106 votes) Damus El Carita is one of the first Christian buildings in Tunisia. Almost nothing remained of the large complex. The Christian complex consisted of a chapel and a monastery, a baptismal chamber, two basilicas and an underground rotunda with 16 columns. Only a forest of columns has survived to this day. The remains of Damus El Carita, like many ruins of Carthage, are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
