The church is located on one of the most picturesque streets of Catania – Via dei Crochiferi. The temple is part of a religious complex that previously belonged to the Benedictine monks. The main attraction of the church – The Staircase of Angels, which is a marble staircase decorated with statues of angels and surrounded by wrought iron railings. The temple was built on the site of the former church dating back to the 14th century. Attention is drawn to the front door, decorated with inserts depicting episodes from the life of Benedict.
