In the Rhone delta, under the name Camargue, there are several nature reserves with a very different landscape : here and the lagoon, which occupies most of the Greater Camargue, and reed beds, and salt marshes and artificial sand islands. There are also beaches, both sandy and rocky, in the park its own forest belt is included. The park has been included by UNESCO in its World Heritage List. The flora is unique here, as the park is the only one in Europe where you can see nesting pink flamingos. There were about 50 local residents here in 2007. All of them, in one way or another, are related to agriculture and tourism, which is flourishing here. We also recommend reading Pont du Gard in France Topic: Camargue in France. |
