It is often associated with the Roman Catholic Order of the Salesians, formed by John Bosco in the late 19th century. 50 Jewish children were hiding in the crypts and sanctuary of the church during the Second World War from the Gestapo. The windows of the church are decorated with magnificent stained-glass windows, which harmoniously combine with the frescoes by Antoine Bezac.
