The exchange was built in 1910-1912. designed by architect Louis Cordonier; it combines rich stucco in the Flemish Renaissance style, Atlantean sculptures, images of flowers and fruits, caryatids, portals, pilasters, porticoes with exquisite pediments. In general, the exchange consists of 24 buildings that form a single courtyard. There is also a small belfry. Immediately after its construction, the exchange was used to trade textiles, and today it houses a book fair.
