Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany, resort of Frankfurt am Main

The exchange began its existence in 1585, when traders adopted a single exchange rate in Frankfurt am Main. By that time, the city had become a large trade center. This exchange began to occupy the leading positions in Germany since 1949. In 1993, the stock exchange was transferred to the control of Deutsche Boerse Group AG. The modern building of the stock and currency exchange was erected in 1870.
