Bebenhausen Monastery located near the city of Tubingen. Previously, the monastery belonged to the Cistercian Order. After the Reformation, the monastery housed a monastery school, then the building served as a country house for the rulers of the lands of Baden-Wurttemberg. The founder of the monastery in 1183 was Count Palatine Rudolf von Tubingen. In 1189, the founding of the monastery was continued by the Cistercians from Schonau.
