The construction of the Town Hall was started in 1470 and was completed only in 1486 year. At the end of construction work, the Town Hall was the tallest building in the city. Nowadays, a cozy restaurant Ratskeller is located in the basement of the town hall. The building is 29 meters high, and the roof height from the facade is 18 meters. The red-tiled roof is decorated with three pointed pediments. Every December, the town hall is presented in the form of the Christmas calendar. Every day at a certain time, one of the windows opens, in which a picture appears with the image of some German fairy tale. There is also a daily raffle, in which lucky ticket holders can get an expensive Christmas present. The Christmas lottery is a whole cultural and recreational event.
