This Dominican monastery is located at the end of Avenida de los Reyes. The church and the facade of the monastery, built in 1524-1610, are decorated with carvings in the Plateresco style. The gilded main altar of the cathedral is one of the finest creations of the sculptor Jose de Churriguera, and the three sides of the altar were painted by his students.

To the left of the altar is the tomb of the governors of the Southern Netherlands, Duke of Alba. Above the choirs, on the western wall of the cathedrals, is the fresco Triumph of the Church by Antonio Palomino in 1705.

Next to the church is a two-storey-high covered arcade. It is decorated with medallions, stairs and stucco ornaments.
