In gratitude, the city municipality built a memorial to the legendary revolutionary, and after finding his remains in Bolivia, a mausoleum was immediately built. Che's ashes were transported to the city and buried at the base of the bronze monument. The bronze Che Guevara holds an automatic rifle in his hand, and his gaze is directed to the horizon. The motto is carved on the pedestal:"Always to victory." Here, next to the Museum of the Revolution is located, where personal belongings, documents and other things related to those events are collected. The Museum also displays rare photographs of all revolutionaries from different years.
