It is housed in a beautiful palace, which was built in 1931-1939, as a summer residence for the sculptor's family. A rich collection of sculptures, drawings and the artist's house were donated to the Croatian people on the basis of dedication from 1952. The gallery's permanent exhibitions are works by Ivan Mestrovic, but temporary exhibitions of international and Croatian art are also held here. The gallery's permanent exhibition includes 86 statues of bronze, wood, marble and plaster, 17 drawings, one stone crucifix and 28 wood reliefs.
