Throughout its long history, the temple has been rebuilt and reconstructed several times. The walls inside the church were decorated with magnificent frescoes from the 14th and 17th centuries. Also here you can see a portrait of a local resident, who probably donated a considerable amount of money for the construction of the temple, and on one of the columns - – the inscription: “Saint John, save me.” Today, the church houses an art gallery, where paintings and samples of Greek ceramics are displayed to the attention of visitors.
