Ein Avdat National Park in Israel, Negev Desert Resort

The Qing River, which flows through the Avdat Plain, forms several picturesque pools and waterfalls. In ancient times, Avdat was popular with people, as it was the only source of water in the area. The source provided water to the inhabitants of the Nabatean ancient city of Avdat. At that time, in order to scoop up water from the canyon, people used containers to which they tied ropes. Today the canyon is a national park, the entrance to which passes through Midreshet Ben Gurion.
