More than 150 icons have already been collected. The most ancient icons date back to the 8th - 9th centuries. Having looked through the collection of icons presented in the museum, one can trace the development of icon painting from the 8th to the 18th century in Cyprus. Of great value are the Litragoma mosaics, which magically survived the period of iconoclasm. There are also carved"royal doors" with an iconostasis, old frescoes, a rich collection of statues, maps, lithographs.
