The monastery was built as a tomb for the burial of the bodies of its founders. During the Thirty Years War, the monastery was destroyed so much that it was not subject to reconstruction. In 1665-1675, the building was rebuilt by architect Jan Krstitel Erna. Today, the church features hand-made frescoes made in the 18th century, the most popular painting is the Appearance of Christ to the Apostles located on the main altar.
