The palazzo was built for the Barbaro family. The first Gothic palace was built in 1425. The author of the project was Giovanni Bon. In 1694, the second baroque palace was designed, the architect of which is Antonio Gaspari. At the turn of the XIX – XX centuries, many famous personalities visited the palazzo.
