Rating: 8,2/10 (859 votes) The Temple of Antonina and Faustina is located in the Roman Forum. The temple was erected in 141 by Emperor Antonin Pius in honor of Faustina – his deceased wife. After the death of Antoninus, the temple was dedicated to both spouses by decision of the Senate. The cella of the temple was decorated with reliefs decorated with various ornaments. In the 11th century, the temple was converted into the Church of St. Lawrence, so the building has been well preserved to this day.
