You can find this landmark in the north of the old town of Herceg Novi. The fortress has impressive dimensions and high altitude (85 meters above sea level). Once the Bloody Tower took its place among other defensive structures, and prisoners were also kept here. During its existence, the appearance of the fortress has repeatedly changed due to rebuilding and restoration. Today, the inner open part of the fortress has been converted into a summer stage, the largest of its kind on the Adriatic coast. This open-air amphitheater hosts theatrical performances based on medieval themes. Today it can accommodate about 15,000 spectators. Of course, because of the high location of the fortress, you can freely view the surroundings from here, climbing a special ascent.
