Church of Christ the Redeemer in Israel, Jerusalem resort
Rating: 8,9/10 (1256 votes)  The Church of Christ the Redeemer is a Lutheran church located in the Christian quarter of what is commonly referred to as the Old City. The northern wall of the temple faces the famous Via Dolroza, along which the Way of the Cross of Jesus Christ passed. The Church of Christ the Redeemer was built on the site of the Church of St. Mary of Latin in the period from 1893 to 1898. In 1970-1973, the restoration of the church was carried out, the external design of the temple was supplemented with mosaic images. If you climb the church bell tower, you can see different quarters of Jerusalem: Jewish, Armenian, Christian. The church currently hosts services in Arabic and German. The building is currently owned by the German Evangelical Foundation in Jerusalem.
