The northern wall of the temple faces the famous Via Dolroza, along which the Way of the Cross of Jesus Christ passed. The Church of Christ the Redeemer was built on the site of the Church of St. Mary of Latin in the period from 1893 to 1898. In 1970-1973, the restoration of the church was carried out, the external design of the temple was supplemented with mosaic images.
