Cathedral of Santiago (Catedral de Santiago) in Spain, Bilbao resort
Rating: 9,3/10 (6954 votes)  This cathedral is located southwest of the museum in Plaza de Santiago, in the heart of the old city. It was built in the 14th century on the site of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. The very first building was almost completely destroyed by a fire in 1571. After that, it was rebuilt. A Renaissance portico appeared on the southern facade, and a Gothic arcade was added. In the 19th century, a tower and a neo-Gothic facade were added to the cathedral.
