Dancing House – an architectural metaphor for a dancing couple, also jokingly called `` Ginger and Fred, '' after actors Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Like most deconstructive structures, the House contrasts sharply with the neighboring architectural ensemble XIX – XX centuries.
The Dancing House is located in Nove Mesto, near the waterfront. The authors of the project are Canadian architect Frank Gehry and Croatian architect Vlado Milunic. The construction of the building began in 1994 and was completed in 1996. The construction of the building was supervised by Vaclav Havel.
