Ribnjak Monastery in Montenegro, Bar resort
Rating: 8,4/10 (8654 votes)  The Ribnyak Monastery can be visited by arriving in the village of Zuptsy. According to legend, there used to be a church built by Elena of Anjou – Nemanich. Traditionally, a complex of buildings is attached to the monastery itself. Today it includes the Church of St. Vasily Zakhumskov, a baptismal and a shelter for pilgrims. Also a little higher from the monastery on Mount Gradac lies the Church of the Honest and Life-giving Cross. It is dedicated to the victory in the struggle for liberation in 1877-1878. It is customary to visit Ribnyak on the day of memory of St. Basil Zakhumsky, May 12.
