This rare Greek nature reserve is located in the west of Rhodes, near the village of Paradisi.

Millions of butterflies arrive at this place every year. They are attracted by the abundant greenery, coolness, the river, as well as the scent of resin exuded by conifers.

Butterflies fly to this valley in summer to survive this hot season.

Entomologist Reinhar Elger from Germany was the first scientist to study butterflies in Rhodes. The type of butterflies that live in this valley -   Callimorpha Quadripunctaria Himalaiensis.
