Valley of the Butterflies in Greece, Rhodes Resort

They are attracted by the abundant greenery, coolness, the river, as well as the scent of resin exuded by conifers. Butterflies fly to this valley in summer to survive this hot season. Entomologist Reinhar Elger from Germany was the first scientist to study butterflies in Rhodes. The type of butterflies that live in this valley - Callimorpha Quadripunctaria Himalaiensis.
