Cable Car in Vietnam, Da Nang Resort
Rating: 7,9/10 (1744 votes)  In March 2009, the world's longest cable car was opened. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Vietnam and other Vietnamese and foreign senior officials. The Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company, which installed the cable car, set two world records at once , which were recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. The first – the road is the longest funicular system and the longest distance from the departure station to the arrival station. The second – the road is located at an altitude of 1291 meters, which makes it the highest in the world. This unique transport system is located only 35 kilometers from Da Nang. The system consists of 94 cabins and 22 pillars, stretching towards the top of Mount Wong Nguet from the base of Mount Ba Na. The length of the road is 5 042 meters. In general, the road to the top takes 15 minutes. Previously, tourists traveled a long way to climb the top of the mountain, but now it can be done comfortably, admiring the beauty from a bird's eye view. For convenience, modern recreation centers were opened on two sections of the road. The road was built according to European standards using Australian equipment and technologies. The equipment was imported from Switzerland, Germany and Sweden.
