Gate of Zion in Israel, Jerusalem resort
Rating: 8,2/10 ( votes)  The Zion Gate was created in 1540, at the direction of Sultan Suleiman I the Magnificent. This gate is part of the southern wall of the Old City. Muslims call them the gate of the prophet King David. Next to them is the tomb of David, which is a stone sarcophagus covered with a velvet blanket. This gate is adjacent to the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem. The road from them leads to the holy places located on Mount Zion. Hence the name - Zion Gate.
