The garden is located in the former summer residence of Queen Mary, 1.5 kilometers from the central part of the city. Geographically, the Botanical Garden occupies 16 acres. The garden features a large collection of plants brought from different parts of the world. In the first minutes, visitors to the garden plunge into a magnificent riot of forms and colors. Over 3 thousand plants grow in this unique place. There are many paths in the park, which were lined with white stone, and during Queen Mary's walks they were covered with carpets. In addition to plants in the garden, you can also observe historical relics – marble throne, capitals and stone cross. In the garden there are such rare representatives of the plant world as « sweet; tree, rubber, paper tree, olive, magnolia, sequoia, sand lily, etc. Nowadays the Botanical Garden is protected by the Academy of Sciences.
