Rating: 7,8/10 (170 votes)  Palazzo Contarin del Bovolo is a luxurious palace located in the San Marco area. The palace was erected for Pietro Contarini in 1499. The main feature of the palace is the openwork spiral staircase, created by the architect Giovanni Candy. The stairs lead to the arcade, which offers a breathtaking view of the city. Nowadays, the staircase is closed to the public due to restoration work. Palazzo Contarin del Bovolo, along with other attractions in Venice, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
