North Bay is located near the island's main town, La Paz. The cove is a short curved beach over a hill next to the cemetery.

The place is great for snorkeling and swimming, as, thanks to the rocks on the coastal shelf, the water is not too deep and there are no big waves. Unlike the shallow beaches on the west coast, North Bay is deep enough for a full swim. The best time to visit is at sunset, during this period the beach is practically deserted, and the sea offers simply stunning views.

There are two guest houses near the North Bay where you can stay with advance booking, as well as a small bar with drinks and snacks.
