The area of Bibala was named Vila-Arriaga until 1975. It is a city in the south of Angola, located in the Namibe province. You can get to the city via Angola's southern rail network or by bus.

The most famous attraction in County Bibala is its unique mineral waters. A local legend tells of hunters chasing a wounded elephant, which came to healing springs and completely healed its wounds. Families of hunters were left without a supply of meat, but miraculous waters were discovered that could cure many diseases. Around them human settlements arose, and later Bibala County was founded.
