The title in English is Suan Pakkad Palace Museum. Photo and DescriptionSuan Pakkad Palace is the first museum in Thailand, created on the basis of the private property of the royal family. It was opened in 1952 by the princess and prince Chumbhotpong. The palace is located on 6 land paradises of Sri Ayudhaya road in Bangkok. The name Suan Pakkad literally means “Cabbage Leaf”. It contains the best collection of antiques in all of Bangkok, which was passed down from generation to generation in the royal family, starting with Prince Paribatra Sukhumbandhu, son of King Chulalongkorn Rama V and Queen Sukhumal Marashri .. In the central garden of the Suan Palace Museum Pakkad is home to the famous Lacquer Pavilion and features an excellent 450-year old gold-plated wall painting.
