Photo and description

The orchid garden is one of the most attractive sights of the Lake Park.

Orchids are considered the most numerous species of plants, their number exceeds two thousand. Their inflorescences vary in diameter from a few millimeters to decimeters. Comparing the former with the latter, it is difficult to believe that they are relatives in the plant world. Their species uniqueness, created by nature, is adapted to the smallest nuances to the rain forests of Malaysia.

More than six thousand of these plants, representing over 800 species, grow and bloom in the orchid garden. They contrast with each other in size and color palette, and together they form an exclusive landscape of beauty. The famous garden is the two-meter orchid "Grammotofillum". Even connoisseurs of these flowers are not always ready to meet such a giant orchid.

The garden is very skillfully designed: in the vicinity of orchids there are many ferns. In bouquets of flower boutiques, fern always sets off the main tone. In an orchid garden, ferns successfully serve the same purpose - highlighting the exoticism of orchids. The park cultivates not only wild plants that grow and bloom in the soil, but also epiphytic orchids. They are grown in charcoal, brick chips and even in expanded polystyrene granules.

The orchid garden is in close contact with the hibiscus garden, together they occupy a hectare of the Lake Park territory. This plant is the national symbol of Malaysia, where it is called somewhat pompously, but rightly "the rose of the tropics" - for its shape and luxurious color scheme. More than 500 varieties of this personification of the country can be seen in the hibiscus garden.

A pond brings a nice touch to the picture of blooming gardens, water lilies and lotuses on its surface delight the eye with their unlike color shades. The gardens have gazebos and terraces with benches where you can relax while walking.

The wild orchid is known to absorb moisture from fog, dew and rain. The park uses original installations that humidify the area through fog. Naturally, they work in their free time from visitors.
