Photo and description

The Lake Park is known not only as a place of relaxation from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur, but also as a territory of great excursion opportunities. In the east of the city, it covers an area of about one hundred hectares.

The "green lungs" of the city appeared in the colonial era, with the assistance of the British administration. Already at the end of the 19th century, there was a place for walks and rest. Gradually, the park was filled with museums - both natural and historical.

Today it houses the Museum of Islam, the National Planetarium, Orchid and Hibiscus Garden, Deer Park and Bird Park, and even the Royal Police Museum. And also the Butterfly Park and the Asian sculpture garden. Each museum is beautiful, informative and, in its own way, unique. Needless to say, all of them can be examined in a day or two. Usually tourists combine relaxation in the lake park with a visit to one of these attractions.

The center of the park is occupied by the famous lake, around which it was created. Here you can ride a boat, canoe, rented pedal boats. There are opportunities for horse riding and hiking. In short, this is a place of relaxation in the middle of a metropolis. In addition to the large lake, there are two artificial ones, all surrounded by lush park vegetation, manicured lawns, sculptures and cozy benches. The main lake is very large, walking around it takes a lot of time and physical endurance. But the experience is worth it. Hundreds of species of rich Malaysian flora can be seen in the surrounding park. Special routes have been laid - across bridges, between gardens and lawns. There are many playgrounds with slides, carousels and swings.

The park is so huge that even the influx of tourists on weekends does not make it crowded or crowded. Dense vegetation absorbs sounds, and numerous green corners create the illusion of privacy.
