Photo and description

The Landhaus was previously the meeting place of the Styrian parliament (Styria also included parts of modern Slovenia and Italy). Now the parliament of the federal land sits here.

In the 16th century, the building was rebuilt under the leadership of the Italian architect Domenico del Allio. The facade with a loggia and large semicircular windows is designed in the Venetian style.

On the courtyard, note the magnificent three-story Renaissance arched gallery. The staircase to the courtyard is the work of the Italian architect Bartolomeo di Bozio.

The interior of the conference hall is made in the Baroque style, the doors are decorated with carvings, and the ceiling is stucco. The knight's hall is just as beautifully decorated.
