The title in English is Parque Papagayo. Photo and descriptionPapagayo Park is located in the Dorada Zone. It is one of the largest conservation areas in southern Mexico. Its territory, with an area of 218 thousand square kilometers, extends to the shores of Playa Ornos beach. Its second name is Ignacio Manuel Altamirano Park. There is a lot of entertainment here not only for children, but also for adults. The park houses a life-size model of a Spanish galleon and a replica of the Columbia spaceship, as well as a host of flora and fauna. The ring road, a little less than one and a half kilometers long, is a good place for a walk, during which you can look into the botanical garden, visit the observatory and the local water park. For children, an interesting entertainment will be a ride through the park on a children's train. For active tourists and guests of the park, there are also sports recreation areas, including even a small skating rink. The park abounds with restaurants and cafes where you can dine and relax. The park has its own library. There are several small buildings, three artificial reservoirs, hundreds of species of various exotic plants and trees on Papagayo Square. Among the rare birds in the park, you can see egrets, toucans, flamingos and, of course, its main inhabitants - parrots, the abundance of which gave the park its name. More than two thousand rare individuals in total. For their habitation, environmentalists and biologists have created conditions similar to those that birds live in their natural environment. There are several monuments in Papagayo. They were erected in honor of Mexican composers and presidents.
