Laglio is a tiny town on the western shore of Lake Como with a population of only about a thousand people and an area of 6 sq. km. Laglio gained worldwide fame in 2001, when Hollywood actor George Clooney bought himself a luxury villa here. Once this villa - Villa Oleandra - belonged to the American businessman Henry Heinz. And now George Clooney spends a significant part of the year in his Italian "refuge". In addition, several scenes from the famous Hollywood blockbuster "Ocean's 12" were filmed in this very villa. In 2007, Clooney expressed his protest to the municipality of Laglio in connection with the planned development of the waterfront next to his villa and even organized a rally on this matter.

In addition to Villa Oleander in Laglio, it is worth visiting the Church of Saints George and Cayetano of Tiena, built in 1619 and consecrated in 1630 by the Bishop of Como Lazzaro Carafino. The gable facade of the church is decorated with a 17th century stone portal; and in the center of the tympanum, in a niche, there is a statue of St. George made in 1937-38 by sculptors Giuseppe Komitati and Dante Bianchi. Inside, the temple consists of a central nave and five side chapels. The first chapel on the right serves as a baptismal font, the second is dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Bari, the third to Saint Anthony of Padua. The chapels on the left are dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary and to Saint Joseph. The main altar of the church is made of colored marble between 1747 and 1750 by Giuseppe Buzzi and is framed with numerous icons. The vault of the presbytery is decorated with stucco molding from the mid-18th century. Next to the church is the Oratorio dei Confratelli chapel, built in 1643.
