The Botanical Gardens Organization of Thailand was established in 1992 to commemorate Her Majesty's 60th birthday, and in 1994 the Queen gave permission to use her name in the title. The main mission of the organization is to preserve the invaluable plant resources of Thailand.

The Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden is located on the two mountains Doi Pui and Doi Suthep on the territory of the National Park of the same name, 27 km from the northern capital of Chiang Mai. The mountains rich in vegetation provide themselves with water all year round and provide excellent conditions for the growth of all kinds of plants.

You can endlessly list all the species collected in this northern oasis, On an area of 2,600 acres of forest space, a huge number of exotic, medicinal and most beautiful plants of Thailand and neighboring countries are collected.

There are three specially designed walking trails in the botanical garden, as well as the opportunity to walk in wild, unspoiled nature if you feel like it. Due to the fact that it is located in the National Park, nature reigns around the garden, and not a bustling city.
