The Military History Museum of the resistance fighters of Morro de Arica is located in the historical center of Lima, the capital of Peru. The museum was opened in 1975 in the house where Colonel Francisco Coronel Bologesi was born and raised. This building was built on the top of the Solar on the site of the old mansion of the governor Francisco Pizarro del Juan Meza.

The main function of the museum is to preserve the memory of the heroes who gave their lives in defense of Peru in the Pacific War. The museum building has two floors and is divided into 12 exhibition halls.

On the first floor of the museum, you can see the room of Francisco Coronel Bologesi, which contains samples of military uniforms of those times, medals and other personal belongings of the Peruvian hero who gave his life in the battle for Cape Morro de Arica in 1881 ... In the adjoining room is a collection of original photographs, documents and personal belongings of Colonel Bologsi's family. Nearby there are expositions telling about other heroes of this war - Colonel Sala Joaquin Inclan, Alfonso Ugarte and Roque Saenz Pena.

On the second floor there are: a conference room where events are held annually in memory of those killed on June 7, 1881 in the battle on the hill of Morro de Arica and celebrates the birthday of the Peruvian hero Francisco Coronel Bologesi (November 4, 1816).

On the second floor you can also see the panorama of the battle on Cape Morro de Arica, the hall of memory Captain Juan Guillermo Moore, who was responsible for the defense of Fort del Morro, and a hall with samples of weapons used by both Chilean and Peruvian patriots.

In the courtyard of the museum you can see the guns, made in France, which took part in the battles defending the Arica Canyon in the Pacific War. One of the guns, Voruz brand, weighs about four tons and is presented with a preserved set of original shells.
