Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov is a drama theater that was formed in 1987 as part of the Moscow Art Theater of the USSR. M. Gorky. Since 1989 the theater has been named after A.P. Chekhov. Until 2000, its artistic director was Oleg Efremov. In 2004, the word "Academic" was removed from the name of the theater. Nowadays, the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater.
