Kaya Bunar waterfall description and photos - Bulgaria: Veliko Tarnovo. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionKaya Bunar waterfall is located near the village of Hotnitsa, 14 km from Veliko Tarnovo. The sight is easily accessible from the center of Hotnitsa - the sign will tell you where to go. Kai Bunar can be reached on foot or by car, as there is a parking lot near the waterfall. A low wooden bridge leads to a place that looks more like a real paradise: an area fenced off by mountains on one side; a small meadow adjacent to the forest; trees bent over the water itself. But the main pearl among all this splendor is, of course, the stream of water flowing down from a height of 30 meters. On the way of the falling river, there is a mountain protruding forward, which divides the water stream into several parts. Below there is a lake with icy water of bright turquoise color. It is forbidden to swim in it, but no one will prevent you from admiring the surrounding nature. Kaya Bunar is a favorite vacation spot. Residents of the village and tourists come here to escape from everyday problems, to have a picnic. In the summer heat, it is cool and fresh next to the lake. In front of the waterfall there is a spacious meadow with a gazebo for visitors. From here begins the famous Hotnish trail - a tourist path that climbs up the wooden steps in the rocks and leads to picturesque natural corners untouched by man. The length of the route is short - only 1.5 km, but from above there is a beautiful view of the Bokhot river, bizarre rocks, waterfalls and small lakes. A small oasis that houses the Kaya Bunar waterfall is one of those places where the splendor and beauty of the unique Bulgarian nature is fully revealed. This is an attraction worth seeing.
