In 1879, according to the project of the architect A.M. Salko, at the intersection of Moskovskaya and Nikolskaya streets (now Radishchev street), a three-story building of the District Court was built. In 1882-1883, in the direction of Moskovskaya Street, the building of the Judicial Chamber was added, which had previously been located in the building of the provincial seats on Cathedral Square. Another extension on Nikolskaya Street was built in 1898-1899 for the Commercial School according to the project of the same architect.

The building was built in the eclectic style at the time of construction it was one of the largest in Saratov. Before the revolution, the lower floor of the entire building was constantly rented out for shops and other trade and commercial structures. The upper floors housed the District Court, the Congress of Justices of the Peace and the Trial Chamber, and also there were offices for employees and numerous employees of the court and chamber - prosecutors, investigators, attorneys at law and bailiffs.

In 1917, the building was occupied by the Provincial Council of National Economy. In the thirties - the school of the civil air fleet and the aviation technical school (from 1932 to 1942). The headquarters of the Volga Military District and the evacuation hospital were located from 1941 to 1944.

In 1944, the Suvorov Military School was opened in the building of the District Court, recruiting the children who came from the war - the sons of the regiments and who had lost their parents. Among his pupils were subsequently famous people: Olympic champion in heavy weight (later a writer and politician) - Yuri Vlasov, commander of the contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan, governor of the Moscow region Boris Gromov, Minister of Culture of the RSFSR - Yu.N. Melentiev and many others, whose names are engraved on marble slabs at the entrance.

The school was disbanded in 1960 and since then there are educational institutions in the building. From 1992 to the present day, the Tatar National Gymnasium has been located in a historic building of the second half of the nineteenth century.
