The Guinness Book of Records calls Liverpool the "world capital of pop". It was here that such legends of modern music as the Spice Girls and the legendary band The Beatles were born.

In the historic district of Albert Dock, there is a museum of The Beatles called The History of the Beatles. The museum was opened only in 1990, but over the years its exposition has grown so much that the museum had to open its own branch.

The museum tells the story of the creation of the legendary band, starting with the first meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Each hall is dedicated to a separate period in the life of the group up to its disintegration. An audio guide in 10 languages tells about the life and work of musicians, both as part of the group and after its breakup. The text is read by John Lennon's sister Julia.

Here, visitors can see the band members' costumes and instruments, records, lyrics, numerous photographs and posters. Among the exhibits of the museum are the very first guitar by George Harris and the famous round glasses of John Lennon. The souvenir shop with the group's logo and the Starbucks coffee shop decorated in the style of The Beatles are also very popular among tourists. A special interactive area is equipped for children.
