The Ethnographic Museum "Byt Kerch" was opened on January 24, 2009. The museum is located in the building of the House of Friendship "Tavrik" on Bubina street, 7. The museum acquaints its visitors with the conditions of the Crimean Tatar everyday life. All items presented in the Kerch Ethnographic Museum are products of local craftsmen or what was brought and left to Kerch families by Russians.

One of the most interesting exhibits is a chest of drawers from the early 20th century, produced by the first artels in Odessa. This is a chest of drawers with decorations, balusters and all kinds of locks, bed linen was kept in it. Such dressers were given to girls as a dowry. The chest of drawers is covered with a hand-woven drawer. There is also an old icon on it.

The Russians who lived in Kerch have preserved many products of folk craftsmen. Museum guests have the opportunity to see the Pavlo Posad shawl, which is distinguished by a special pattern and color combination. Next to it is a hand-embroidered apron made in the Chita region in the 1920s. 20 Art. It was donated to the museum by a resident of Kerch, A. Milovanov, and it was his grandmother who embroidered this apron.

In addition, the Ethnographic Museum displays wooden nesting dolls donated by the Prokopchuk family. Also here are kept Palekh boxes, plates, Lipetsk spoons and spoons in the style of "golden khokhloma".

Another exhibit in the exposition of the Russian community is a towel with embroidery. This is a special towel, on which bread was laid and with which the newlyweds were greeted. It refers presumably to the 19th art. In addition, the handmade embroidery on the pillows deserves special attention.

Today the Ethnographic Museum "Life of Kerch" is just beginning its life. It is still very young and is constantly updated with new exhibits.
