Photo and descriptionThe building of the Kazan Choreographic School is located in the center of Kazan, on K. Marx Street. It was built in 1906 by the architect S.V. Bechko - Druzin. The building is an architectural monument. The two-storey building has an L-shaped plan, designed in the neoclassical style popular at the beginning of the twentieth century. The building has two wings, which are connected from the southeast by a cut corner, above which there is a dome with a ribbed surface and a weather vane. The facades of the building are gracefully decorated with semi-columns and pilasters. The balconies of the building are decorated with intricately patterned lattices. In the interior decoration of the building, the luxurious stucco moldings that adorn the ceilings of the premises are partially preserved. A staircase with an openwork metal railings decorated with rosettes leads to the second floor. In January 1993, the Kazan Choreographic School was opened in the building. It was formed on the basis of the choreographic department of the music school. The idea of creating a specialized school appeared in the sixties of the twentieth century. A whole galaxy of brilliant dancers and ballerinas has been brought up at the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil. The ballet school has become a necessary part of the process of transferring heritage and skill to young performers. The Kazan Choreographic School prepares ballet dancers and dancers for folk dance ensembles. There are 49 teachers and accompanists at the school. Among the teachers there are People's Artists of Russia, People's Artists of Tatarstan, Honored Artists of Russia and Tatarstan, Honored Artists of Tatarstan. The school is taught by the master of sports of the USSR in gymnastics and associate professor of medical sciences.
