The title in English is Livadhia. Photo and descriptionIf you really want to fully feel the "taste" of island Greece and prefer a calm and measured vacation away from the noisy crowds of tourists, you should definitely visit the island of Tilos. It is a small charming island between Kos and Rhodes with excellent natural landscapes, magnificent beaches and many interesting places. Port of Tilos, the town of Livadia (or Livadia) is located in a small bay surrounded by picturesque mountains on the west coast of the island, about 7 km south of the administrative center of Tilos, Megalo Horje, and is a traditional Greek settlement with pretty little houses literally immersed in greenery, churches, quiet winding streets, a picturesque promenade and a genuine atmosphere of cordiality and hospitality of local residents. This is the largest settlement on the island of Tilos, as well as its commercial and tourist center with a very well-developed infrastructure. Here you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay - a fairly good selection of hotels and apartments, shops and markets, restaurants and taverns, an excellent pebble beach, which is rightfully considered one of the best on the island, and much more. Considering that the area of Tilos is only about 63 square kilometers, after enjoying the usual beach rest and the color of the coastal town, you can go on an exciting journey around the island and get acquainted with all its attractions. The ruins of a fortress built back in the 15th century by the knights of the Order of St. John on the top of a steep hill overlooking Megalo Horje deserve special attention.
