The Church of the Abalatskaya Icon of the Mother of God in Novosibirsk is a functioning Orthodox church under the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church. It is located at the intersection of two streets - Uchitelskaya and Bohdan Khmelnitsky, not far from the Sosnovy Bor park.

The project of the temple was developed by the Novosibirsk architect Peter Chernobrovtsev, the son of Alexander Chernobrovtsev, who was the author of several city architectural landmarks.

The parish of the temple was founded in the fall of 1992, initially the services were held in the building of the housing office, as well as in the premises of the local kindergarten. The first stone in the foundation of the church was laid not so long ago - in September 1994. Six years later, the construction of the temple was completed. Its solemn consecration took place in July 2000. Sergius, Bishop of Novosibirsk and Berdsk, performed the rite of consecration.

The first thing that strikes when looking at the church is its monumentality and height. The project of the temple was made in the image of Russian Orthodox churches of the 17th century. - four-pillar, five-domed with three naves. Shining silvery domes and snow-white plaster combine to make a lasting impression. Icons of saints can be seen above each of the entrances. Inside the temple there is a huge number of Orthodox shrines, including icons with particles of the relics of 10 saints. The graceful gates leading to the territory of the church are especially attractive.

On the territory of the Church of the Abalatskaya Icon of the Mother of God, construction work is still ongoing. The bell tower is also being completed, which is located a little further from the temple.

Since 1993 an Orthodox gymnasium and a kindergarten were opened at the church. There is also a music school, a library and a Sunday school at the temple. Divine services in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God of Abalatskaya are held daily.
