Fischbach was first mentioned in the land register of the Diocese of Sekau in 1295. The locals were engaged in agriculture, which was the main source of income.

In 1960, Fischbach turned into a tourist resort. In winter, ski lifts began to work, and in summer vacationers came to enjoy the healing mountain air. A mini-golf course was built in 1967, and tennis courts appeared in 1980.

Today Fischbach is a favorite holiday destination. People come here both for outdoor activities and for treatment. This place is loved not only for its excellent air quality, but also for its beautiful natural landscapes. In summer, you can enjoy relaxing in the crystal clear water of a local small lake, and in winter you can skate on it. For lovers of outdoor activities, there are bicycle routes.
