Photo and description

Between Mount Karaul-Oba and Cape Kapchik, there is the Blue Bay, which is also called Tsarskaya. In the bay, the water is blue and transparent to the point where you can see all the contents that are at the bottom of the bay. The magnificent coastline of the Blue Bay is often called Tsarskoe beach. This name may be due to the fact that in 1912 the emperor of the Russian Empire, Nicholas II, bathed and rested in this bay.

The entire coast of the New World has been considered a botanical reserve since 1974. It was created in order to preserve the unique groves of relict pine trees, as well as a park of tree-like juniper. These areas, which are home to Mediterranean vegetation, are unique. A plant like juniper produces phytoncides, disinfecting the air and saturating it with the scent of resin.

This wonderful place has long been noticed by our directors, who filmed here such famous films as: "Amphibian Man", "Solitary Swimming", "Sportloto-82", and See also 20th Century Pirates. To shoot the film "Amphibian Man", all types of Tsarskaya Bay were used. Cape Kapchik, from which S. Eremenko jumped onto the ship with pirates in the final scene, was used in the filming of the film “Pirates of the 20th century”. The battles of the paratroopers took place in this bay during the filming of the film "Solo Voyage". In the movie "Sportloto-82" we see Mikhail Kokshenov burying himself in pebbles on the beach of this bay.

You can appear on the territory of Tsarskoye Beach using two methods. You can go down mountain paths, who pass through the juniper grove or sail in a speedboat with adequate comfort. The local population turned the transportation of tourists into a mini-industry. They bring vacationers here from Sudak in full boats.
