On the territory of the Jurmala sanatorium "Yantarny Bereg", built in 1972 according to the plan of the architect S. Kleimenov, the once closed State dacha №2 was opened for visitors.

On August 29, 1966, the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR decided to build a sanatorium "Yantarny Bereg" for 224 places. For the first time, vacationers visited it on May 3, 1973. At that time it was considered very prestigious to relax here. To this day, the sanatorium "Yantarny Bereg" is famous for its hydrogen sulfide baths and Kemerovo mud. In addition, the Baltic Breeze cottage was created, where the top leadership of the Soviet Union preferred to rest. Since the 70s, at least 100 thousand tourists have visited the health resort. In addition to residents of Latvia, people from Russia, Israel, Germany, Ireland and other countries of the world rest in the sanatorium. Nowadays, the Yantarny Bereg sanatorium is owned by the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation.

Within the framework of the “Soviet Party” project (“Travel to the Land of the Soviets”), everyone who wishes can see the dacha. The "Soviet Party" project is unique, since the interior of that time has been fully preserved. Tourists will have an unforgettable trip to the USSR in the 70s-80s of the XX century. Everything here reminds of that time: worn red carpets on the floor, special communications turntables, an old TV, a turntable with vinyl records, Lenin's compositions and even a chic (by Soviet standards) menu in the dining room. And plumbing from the Czech Republic still looks very decent and is quite competitive today.

The former State Dacha is a cottage "Baltic Breeze", consisting of two separate two-storey buildings, which include living rooms, a dining room, a kitchen, a spacious hall with a fireplace, terraces, a library, a billiards room, a cinema room, Leonid Brezhnev's study and a sauna with a swimming pool. Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev did not rest in the Baltics. He preferred the warm Crimea to her. Here I liked to relax with my family, the first secretary of the Leningrad Regional Party Committee Romanov. Yuri Andropov and other dignitaries also visited here.

At the dacha, visitors will be greeted as guests of honor by a Volga car (escort car). This takes place in the fireplace room. Visitors are warned about the solemnity of the moment and are asked to meet the owner of the dacha with thunderous applause. " Comrade Brezhnev " delivers a report on exciting topics, referring to the political and economic situation in the country and the world. Then he answers the visitors' questions.
