The Siberian Birch Bark Museum, located in the city of Novosibirsk, is the world's only museum of contemporary art of birch bark carving.

The grand opening of the museum took place in June 2002 in a building - an architectural monument on Maxim Gorky Street, which was erected in 1917. Today it is called the "House with a Mezzanine". Initially, the house belonged to a wealthy merchant, after the building was converted into a communal apartment. & Nbsp; The museum fund was constantly replenished, therefore in 2004 the museum was provided with additional space practically in the very center of the city along Sverdlov Street.
